Asheville is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Asheville follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

My husband and I love visiting this garden whenever we're in the Ashville area! We visited at the beginning of July and the weather was perfect. There's different trails to walk/run, dog friendly, kids friendly, and just so much lush plants to see! There's even a greenhouse with plants you can purchase!

I came to the botanical gardens for a work event, and this bonsai garden was so awesome. I ended up buying a membership at the botanical garden because I would love to come back here again. The bonsai garden was my absolute favorite part of the botanical gardens. Not to mention, it is ADA-accessible and is advertised as the ADA-accessible way to get to the other end of the garden. There were so many bonsai and I loved seeing the care that went into each of them. It is a very tranquil and relaxing area, and I would definitely come here to read a book or meditate!

I do bonsai and have viewed collections in Japan and Europe. This is an exquisite bonsai collection with an emphasis on southeastern USA and Appalachian species. Interesting underplantings with native flora. Wonderful pots, very well paired with their trees.

Loved this exhibit. 2 gardeners were trimming the trees when we visited. The lady gardener in my pictures was very friendly and nice. The male gardener, however, was rude and did not want to be bothered by the visitors. I wish they had more history on each of the bonsai trees.

Fantastic place! An immense sense of peace and soberness amongst the art work up stairs and the garden. Beautiful garden. Many places to just sit and ponder, defuse, relax. The smell of the plants pushes out the worries of life. Highly recommend.
